Two of Ed's colleagues from University of Shanghai took us to a great Chinese restaurant (with no English on the menu). We ordered by looking on a huge wall full of pictures of mostly unidentifiable dishes. My favorite was actually some type of pan-fried pig intestines with hot peppers. Sounds a bit gross, but the taste was sublime. The flavor was Bacon if it went to eleven!
Also, since there were five of us, we got a VIP room with three of our own servers, our own AC controls, and someone to open our beers! The white wine always came out room temperature, though.
